True, one of my friends in the US recently suffered the fate of the Department of Homeland Security. Apparently, after Sept 11 and the Patriot Act, large resources of money later went to state DHS agencies, and with some states clearly not harboring a terrorist threat, state DHS agencies turned to other groups as threats. The FBI recently listed eco-terrorist and activist groups as higer threats in those areas, and my friend, belonging to one particular group, was followed around for 2 months, photographed, and her friends interviewed by agents, by simply being a member of a non-violent activist group. It's no laughing matter, most state DHS agencies are all waiting for an opportunity to seek out anyone they perceive as a domestic terrorist. Anyone seeking to perform vigilante activities in the US should take extra exposure precautions.
