I never have killed anyone, never plan to and probably never will, but we're running around in the real world, getting in fights with criminals, and shit happens. Can it ever be justified? Of course: cops kill people for the right reasons every day. Should we accept this as an acceptable outcome as a real life superhero? Hell no! Unlike cops, we get to choose our battles and should not be raising the stakes that high. We have a lot higher probability of making mistakes, and those kind of mistakes aint fixable! We have to be much more careful than cops and make sure we don't really screw things up! We have to operate in a responsible, non-lethal way to avoid becoming a major public safety problem ourselves.
